Description

Wild honey from the forests of Coorg. Gathered by wild bees foraging freely across the dense, untouched forests of Coorg (Kodagu), Karnataka — a landscape of wildflowers, coffee blossoms and native trees that gives this honey its deep amber colour and rich, layered flavour.

Raw, unfiltered and unheated — nothing added, nothing removed. Just pure honey exactly as the bees made it, with its natural pollen, enzymes and aroma intact.

  • 100% raw & unprocessed — never heated or adulterated
  • Single-origin from the forests of Coorg, Karnataka
  • Lab-tested for purity — no added sugar
  • Natural crystallisation over time is normal — a sign of real, raw honey

quality is good

I bought the 250 ml honey, and I loved the quality. Next time, I'll definitely buy the 1000 ml pack.

My grandmother recognised it

My 80 year old grandmother said this smells exactly like the wild honey her family used to collect from forests in Karnataka. She said she had not smelled honey like this in 50 years.

South India honey is special

The forest honey from South India is different from Himalayan or any other region. Something about the flora there gives a specific character. This has it. My relatives from Tamil Nadu confirmed it.

Wild small bee honey is special

Never tried small bee honey before. The flavour is more intense and complex than regular bee honey. You can taste multiple flowers in it. Very different experience. Highly recommend.

Good packaging

Glass jar, proper seal, no leakage in transit. The label information is detailed and honest. The product inside matches the premium look of the packaging. End to end quality.

Slightly expensive but honest

The price feels high initially. But when you understand this is genuine raw honey harvested once a year with real quality control, it makes sense. Most cheap honey is not honey at all.

Husband does quality check

My husband is an organic chemistry professor. He tested this at home with multiple methods. Said it is genuinely raw and unprocessed. His approval means a lot. Regular order from now on.

Wild small bee taste is different

The wild small bee honey has a distinctly different taste from regular bee honey - more tangy, more complex. My family prefers it now. Very hard to go back to regular honey after this.

Seasonal product - I respect that

The fact that this is a seasonal harvest and quantities are limited tells you it is genuine. If they were producing unlimited quantities round the year it would be a red flag. Honest product.

Reordered 1kg this time

Started with 250ml, then 500ml, now 1kg. Quality same throughout. The 1kg price per gram is significantly better. For daily users the 1kg is clearly the right choice.

Office colleagues now ordering

I bring a jar to office for my tea. Three colleagues have tried it and all three are now ordering for themselves. The honey sells itself once people taste it.

Cooking with honey changed

I use honey in baking and cooking. The difference in final taste when you use genuine raw honey versus processed honey is very noticeable. My banana bread specifically improved dramatically.

Passes water test

I did the water test - put a drop in a glass of water. Real honey settles to the bottom. This did. The three commercial brands I tested dissolved immediately. Very satisfying result.

Consistent across batches

Four orders over the past year. The honey looks and tastes slightly different each time which is normal for natural product. But the quality and genuineness is consistent. Good brand.

The crystallisation test

This honey crystallised within 3 weeks. That is the real sign of purity. I was so happy. Commercial honey never crystallises because it is heated and processed. This is alive.

Finally genuine raw honey

I have been buying honey for 10 years thinking I was getting something natural. This showed me what I was missing. The thickness, the aroma, the way it crystallises - completely different.

Better than all pharmacy brands

I compared this with Dabur, Patanjali and Himalaya honey. This beats all three in every home test I could do. The difference in taste is also obvious. Vanamati is on a different level.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Why does the honey crystallize?

Crystallisation is completely natural for raw, unprocessed honey and a sign of purity. To liquefy it, stand the jar in warm water for a few minutes — never microwave it, as high heat destroys honey's natural enzymes.

Is any sugar added?

Never. Our honey is 100% pure and raw — nothing added, diluted or removed. We lab-test for added (C4) sugar to guarantee it.

Is it raw or processed?

Raw and unprocessed. It's gently strained but never heated, pasteurised or ultra-filtered, so the natural pollen, enzymes and aroma stay intact.

Which region is it harvested from?

It's collected by small beekeepers across South India. Our Forest Honey comes specifically from the forests of Coorg (Kodagu), Karnataka.

Is it safe for children?

Yes, for children above 1 year. Like all honey, it should not be given to infants under 12 months of age — a standard precaution against infant botulism.

How should I store it?

Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight — no refrigeration needed. Always use a clean, dry spoon.

What's the shelf life?

Pure honey keeps for a very long time. For the best flavour and aroma, use within 24 months of the packed date printed on your jar.
